Nesting Dove

This morning, when I went to water my plants, I was surprised to find a dove nesting in my palm tree pot on my fire escape. It was still here this afternoon and I hope it's nesting and not in some final rest. However, I need to water the plants, but don't want to scare it off. I suspect it was talking to the hummingbird that flew in my apartment last year, and heard I was kind to animals.

It's very cute sitting in my pot and I feel all giddy when I see it - I can't help it.
